welcome
The Arts and Media Development team here at East Ayrshire Council provide high quality, innovative arts services for the benefit of East Ayrshire residents and visitors to the region. Our work supports the development of creativity, cultural diversity and learning. This work is built on a foundation of innovative, challenging, socially aware and progressive cultural key stones.

Visitor to the Quentin Blake exhibition Jan – Mar 05 at The Dick. We are specialist providers of contemporary visual art programming, Children’s and Youth Theatres, art form specific summer workshops and Scottish Young Curators. Upcoming new additions to our portfolio are the Young Programmers in conjunction with the Palace Complex and East Ayrshire’s first Cultural Youth Festival in October 2006. We currently also provide tailored and specialist cultural business support.
We support The Palace Theatre programme and the Museums service, towards learning and audience development. Our repertoire of services is recognised nationally, particularly in the field of Visual Arts and Craft Development evidenced by our partnerships with local authorities across Scotland (including Glasgow and Aberdeen City Councils), and other agencies such as the National Museums of Scotland, and HE and FE colleges including Kilmarnock College and Edinburgh College of Art.
